Good luck to Coleraine GSRC this weekend as our Year 14 pupil travels to Eton Dorney to compete in the Ch Girls 1x event at National Schools Regatta!Also good luck to COBRA members Hugh Moore and Molly Curry as they travel to the National Rowing Centre in Cork this weekend to compete at U23 Trials!Coleraine GS Rowing ClubGood luck to our year 14 pupil as she competes at the National Schools Championship held at Eton Dorney the venue for the London 2012 Olympics. This event is held behind closed doors (no spectators) with the finals being streamed live. Should our student proceed to the final a further Facebook post will update you with the time and streaming link estimated tomorrow afternoon around 4.50pm. Fantastic results for two athletes who have put in so much hard work over the last year, a lot of it done in a completely solitary existence. The hard work has payed off! Well done folks.Coleraine GS Rowing ClubCGS rowers excel at under 19 rowing trials!The senior Irish rowing team is enjoying unprecedented success heading towards the Tokyo Olympics. This success is based on a brutal training regime and selection process. This ethos is replicated in the under 23 and 19 teams, it was therefore a great achievement for our two pupils to be invited to join another four boys and seven girls deemed good enough to trial for Ireland at under 19 world standard. The trial consists of two races in single boats the first against the clock and then side by side races. Both our pupils showed consistency in securing second place in both races and in doing so taking massive steps towards international representation later this summer.
